In order to improve the condition of saint George’s road ,the municipality of Kafaraka built 71 m length of support wall.
After the first survey that was conducted on 2017 ,the municipality of Kafaraka conducted a second survey in 2019. The results showed that 90 percent of the Syrian refugees are living in Kafaraka without any legal papers .
After conducting the project of waste water, the municipality of Kafaraka in cooperation with Koura municipality Union conducted the last part of the project by asphalting the road. The project was completed on 15 May 2019. The road was totally esphaled and the condition is now improved.
After conducting all the necessary legal actions related to the decree of 2003, the municipality of Kafaraka started end of 2018 the construction of the road that links zone Matria and zone Fouk al bir .
After conducting the project of waste water, the municipality of Kafaraka in cooperation with Koura municipality Union is planning to conduct the last part of the project by asphalting the road. The project will start when the weather is improved.
Joyce Georges Horkos from Kafaraka Al Koura, won the first prize in a cultural writing competition organized in Al Mina municipality. The competition was between the students of high school in the North of Lebanon. Joyce was competing in the English section, where her essay was about the role of women in Lebanon. We congratulate her and wish her all the best.
On the occasion of the Mother’s day, the municipality of Kafaraka originated a mass wishing health to all Mothers.
After the mass the mothers were invited to a special lunch.
Doctor Lea Elie Fayed was accepted to conduct a postdoctoral at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Johns Hopkins Medical Institution, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
